      wow, looks like drops of gold...beautiful color and lighting! How did you get the star effect with your lighting? Is is some type of filer? I love it~

      The starburst was present in the original picture due to the long exposure. HDR helped reduce it and make it visually pleasing. No filters were used in processing--I just took three bracketed exposures and used Photomatix Pro to create the HDR results.

      This shot was one of the very first taken with my Canon XS. I didn't know at the time, but the fountain was donated to the village by one of my best friend's grandparents.

      I have very much enjoyed your photos of my hometown! Not only this one~ which is great by the way~ but many of the others~ great series on the church and lib as well.

      Thank you, Cherie. We are proud to call Dryden our hometown for as long as possible. I'm active duty Army and could be reassigned someday. We chose Dryden because it is quiet, clean, and has a palpable sense of community. My family loves it here.

      I'm planning to walk the old railroad trail this spring and see what I can find.
