* invisible cloak of life and love *
May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life…
(John O Donohue)
Those touching words were sent to me by friend Irene (Weirena) - Thank You and PLEASE accept them also coming from me. They express much of what I feel...
Untouched ground, laid with a white sheet, serene, fresh, pure, only my dreams are floating across the quiet lawns; it feels certainly very Christmassy this year.... we had heavy snow (heavy for France and the larger Paris region), often fog in the morning, the street decoration is throwing strange and enchanting patterns through the mists, it's snowing and if you look closely you can see the snow caps on the last roses. The birds are fighting like bulls over the seeds and fat balls, the cats are leaving footprints that darken over the day, Kiki stays inside, it's SO cosy (a word the French adore - I always wonder if they really know what it means!). Christmas IS coming.
With those words I take leave for a few days. I am badly behind 'schedule' and mustn't spend more time on Flickr. I wish you all a BLESSED CHRISTMAS and a HEALTHY, HAPPY, JOYFUL and FULFILLED NEW YEAR.
Thank you especially for your friendship throughout this year. You have given me much courage, joy, many moments of giggles, you gave me ideas and hints, and mostly you gave my eyes festive food, again and again. THANK YOU for that!
