Tailing Light | Horsetail Fall, Yosemite
Horsetail Fall, Yosemite National Park, California
For about two weeks every year in February, Horsetail Fall catches the light perfectly at sunset. With enough flow and the right light, this sliver of falling water glows neon orange. More info here.
I was fortunate enough to catch this phenomenon this year. Although it was already the tail end of the season, the fall still caught enough light to cause a glow (although I've heard it's not as luminent as it is during the peak days). The internal debate of whether to keep this shot in color or process it as b+w was a lengthy and tough one.
