Manhattan - Volunteers of America

First of a sizeable series of images taken in New York, June 11 - 15, 2015. A "tumble" of a Ralph Lauren window on 5th Avenue near 57th Street.

New York, a city I love more than words can express, offers unthinkably innumerable photographic opportunities, it's that visually rich. I recently spent hours just shooting shop windows on 5th Ave between 54th and the Park. For now I'll start with those and will move on to architectural shots, Times Square and more. As a photographic artist in love with the Big Apple, I can't NOT run amok in this most incredible of cities.

~~~ Dedicated to Robin Thomson of New York. That these New York pictures happened at all is entirely due to her.
Music Link: "Volunteers" - Jefferson Airplane, from their performance at Woodstock, August, 1969. It was the first song that came to mind when I saw this fantastic, 60's themed window. I think it's time for a return to such sentiments.
