      Just had to looks at this one as well! Stunning.

      One of those photos where it's hard to tell if it's a macro or not - if you didn't know, this could easily be buds about to burst into bloom on a flowerhead ... or a close up of a cactus ...

      Wonderful!

      Oh yeah, I forgot to mention what is so obvious to me, but not always to others: it was taken from about 1,000 feet/300 meters above.

      Yes I agree! It looks like it could be a macro. Definitely deception of the eyes. Man, you have me wanting to do aerial photography now. Of course, I don't have the plane (doh!)...but I would love to do it. Your images are a big inspiration!

      I am loving your arieal photos. You have a good eye. As 'Ben0Den' said, 'Simply Amazing'.

      I am really interested in the idea of scale invariance in the natural world. I spend my days looking under a microscope and am an awe of the similarities I see on the micron-scale compared to the 5 miles above scale (in a commercial airlines).
