Sending little prayers..

Shot this in morning when my wife just completed her daily worship and lighted a incense stick near the holy plant Tulsi. What attracted me was the way the incense smoke was appearing to come out of the plant and it looked like the prayers my wife had done were going to heavens above.

The tulsi or holy basil is an important symbol in the Hindu religious tradition and is worshiped in the morning and evening. The holy basil is also a herbal remedy for a lot of common ailments.

Tulsi is cultivated for religious and medicinal purposes, and for its essential oil. It is widely known across South Asia as a medicinal plant and an herbal tea, commonly used in Ayurveda, and has an important role within the Vaishnavite tradition of Hinduism, in which devotees perform worship involving Tulsi plants or leaves.
