I've culled cheesecake photos and other little known or just downright interesting oddities regarding History of People of Color (as covered in magazines). Some of them are inspiring, some mundane, but all are rather interesting.

Please feel free to leave any comments or thoughts or impressions... They are happily appreciated!

Enjoy!

I don't know how you got hold of all this material :-0
I just want to say the whole 'Black History As Seen Through Magazines' collection is (for lack of a better word) amazing.
What inspired you?

Thanks for posting these :-)

What inspired me? Well, I kept reading things in these magazines (as I was collecting them) that I hadn't known before. And my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents were rather involved in Equality and Civil Rights issues. So I thought others might be surprised with these tidbits of long lost news (both serious and light-hearted news).

I don't know how I ran across your collection but I simply can't get enough. It's rare that you find so much black entertainment history in one place. And Jet Magazine being the source makes it that much more interesting. Thank you so much for sharing.
