7/7 Memorial

The memorial is located near the south-east corner of Hyde park, London and is dedicated to the 52 people who lost their lives in the London bombings of 7 July 2005.

The monument consists of 52 individually sand-cast stainless steel columns set in four closely linked groups. The groups mark the four locations where bombs exploded.

The memorial is the work of Kevin Carmody and Andy Groarke, young London-based architects who set up in practice together just a year after the attack.
