Nikon F3 HP w/ AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D and Kodak Portra 160. f/2.8, 1/60s. Plustek Opticfilm 8100 and Silverfast SE Plus 8.2 @ 3600 dpi. Retouched and cropped.
When I bought my F3 1½ years ago I also bought a 5 rolls of Tri-X and a 5-pack Portra 160. The Tri-X was easy to shoot away with since I develop myself, and ISO 400 makes it rather flexible and no-brainer to use as my primary film.
The Portra 160 on the other hand really needs nice weather (preferably outdoors!), especially when shot in December. So I never really came about to use it and sold four of the rolls to friends. This roll was the one I kept, but it was best before Feburary 2016. So I had to shoot it quickly. Also, the price of Portra has increased 10% since I bought my rolls, so it was not an option not to shoot it.
I developed the film at Team Framkallning in Stockholm. They did a pretty good job, only minor amounts of dust and only a minute scratch or two. But the scanning was difficult due to the films very wide dynamic range and tonality which confused Silverfast a great deal. (Not the ideal program for colour!) It looks sort of OK after a lot of fiddling.
