12 Days of Christmas Butterflies - #12 Monarch

The king of butterflies to celebrate the birth of the King of Kings: "On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords" (Revelation 19:16)

I reached out and touched a Monarch's wings this Fall - so many came through here from August-November headed to the mountains of Mexico. I love to think that the one I touched made it - and is hanging in the chilly trees down there. Reports show that there was a large & unexpected "production of late season Monarchs" in the middle and southern states rather than farther north where they would normally reproduce. Maybe our late mild weather had a lot to do with it. So that explains what I saw - and those late Monarchs will help the numbers.

Merry Christmas Eve & Happy Hanukkah!!!
