even more strange things I found

    Newer Older

I found them in the bottom of a sewing-notions-bin at a thrift shop in town. Very strange. I found so many! They must belong to some sort of game. Anyway, I am definitely going to be making something out of them. I think that they are so quirky (a little bit weathered too).

But I'm adding them to some craft pools and if you have any bright ideas you don't mind sharing, PLEASE comment them. I have...at least 50 of the little guys. I was thinking...maybe attaching to the back some pins and making brooch/badge things out of them. They're very "sturdy" and I'm sure they'd hold up.

Maybe put some clear contact or varnish on them, then attach strong magnets to the back? You can never have too many strong fridge magnets.

I LOVE these!!! You *could* just send them to me...

or...barettes? necklace pendants? cocktail rings? buttons on a cute sweater? attach a bunch to the front of a sketchbook? earrings? link them with wire for a necklace? attach to shower curtain hooks? (well sealed, of course) glue to a lampshade? Maybe just the bottom? A tissue box cover? Attach to a belt? Attach hooks to hang keys from? Make into key rings?

They are so era specific...and very clearly NOT american. Record shops and the house is even retro looking...great colors. Now I will have to investigate old games wherever I shop!!!
