"If man were immortal he could be perfectly sure of seeing the day when everything in which he had trusted should betray his trust, and, in short, of coming eventually to hopeless misery. He would break down, at last, as every good fortune, as every dynasty, as every civilization does. In place of this we have death."
- Charles Sanders Peirce
Ah, and I almost forgot to add:
I'm going to be jumping into the Toronto International Film Festival headfirst tomorrow, meaning I'll probably be spending at least 12 hours a day watching movies, and another four doing interviews and parties and stuff.
Which also means I'm going to have close to zero time to spend on Flickr, sadly, until the 17th of September. I know I'm supposed to be on hiatus, and I have been scarce with commenting recently, but now I'm truly disappearing for ten days.
Have fun, and don't do anything too exciting while I'm gone, I don't want to miss it. And if you're really interested, I'll be posting my festival thoughts and reviews of all the films I see over on blogTO in the Toronto International Film Festival 2006 section. Do check it out, I promise I'll try hard to make it good.
