Stranger 01/100: Caela and The Butterfly
Visiting the "Wings of Fancy" exhibit at Brookside Gardens, I watched as the beautiful butterfly landed on the photogenic Caela (pronounced 'Kayla'), and her Dad, Sean, frantically tried to take a picture with his cell phone. I offered to capture the moment and share it with them. I also spoke about the project, and Sean thought it was a great idea and granted permission. It turned out to be a gift for both of us, as his reply upon receipt: "It was nice to have a photo of my daughter taken with a real camera instead of the one in my phone."
So, while I had recenty committed to the 100 Strangers project, my first shot came by grasping a chance opportunity. Great fun!
This picture is #01 in my 100 Strangers Project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group or at the web site: http://www.100strangers.com/
