Adidas Busenitz Pro Skate "Maroon" - 2010
Ever since the announcement of this color-way, I've been patiently waiting it's arrival. This simple soccer shoe silhouette turned skate shoe for Dennis Busenitz has won over a lot of fans. Including me. I always, personally, liked the look of soccer shoes. It's that low profile appearance that really gets me. So, when this model came out, I was taken by them pretty fast. The shoe it self was inspired by the Adidas Copa Mudial which is Busenitz favorite soccer cleat from the past. Also, who doesn't like a nice Maroon or Burgundy color-way? It's a winner, always.
As you can see, I've been playing around with lighting. I'm not using anything fancy to get these shots either. I use practical props that I find around the house. Like a flashlight and cups to dilute the light a little. For this shot I used a red clear drinking cup that was laying around and a flashlight. I put the flashlight into the cup and it gave me a red tint to shine on the shoe itself. I thought it would add a nice accent and I was right. I'm really happy with the outcome. Though I do wish the image was a little sharper, I can't always win the battles with my limited P/S camera. Here's a shot of my set up with props. ;)
I will have a few more shots to upload soon.
