Dead tyres

Used tyres waiting to be recycled. In America they (incorrectly) spell tyres "tires".

That's an eye catching picture of tires. Did those tires get processed into rubber, tire derived fuel, or something else entirely?

I see that you have Creative Commons licensing enabled, but I'd like to get your permission before I use this photo in an upcoming PracticalEnvironmentalist post. The blog will discuss rubber mulch and other ways that tires are recycled. It hasn't been published yet, but the permalink will be:

If you'd prefer that I use another picture, please let me know and I'll change it out ASAP. Thank you!

They are taken off vehicles and set back for recycling. They are stored in this enclosure until it is full before being collected.

You can use the pic with pleasure.
