Lower Falls, Yellowstone River

Saturday 13th of September, 2003 - After our stop off at Mammoth, we drove on to see the spectacular Yellowstone River Canyon, along with the simply draw-dropping Lower Falls.


The Lower Falls are 308ft high (almost twice the height of those in Niagara), and are the largest volume major waterfall in the whole of the Rocky Mountains, totalling at their seasonal peak up to 63,500 USgal/s. Or almost as much water as I get through during a shower ;)
