Our Partners in Transylvania
Photos of the Unitarians of Transylvania, the oldest community of Unitarians in the world, by Stephen Spinder, who has spent much of the past four years photographing their churches and people. His photographs appear in several books, including Ten Years in Transylvania: Traditions of Hungarian Folk Culture (2006). Spinder's photographs will be displayed at the First Church in Boston October 17 (1:00 to 2:00 p.m.) and October 18 (6:00 to 8:00 p.m.), 2010.

See Gretchen Thomas's cover story in the Fall 2010 issue of UU World for a look back at the early days of the partner church movement, which has renewed ties between North American Unitarian Universalists and Transylvanian Unitarians in the twenty years since the fall of Communism.
