Sailor/master explosive ordnance disposal technician observes Namibian military and police during demolition training

ARANDIS, Namibia (April 26, 2011) Chief Explosive Ordnance Technician Justin Berlien, second left, master explosive ordnance disposal technician assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 11, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, observes Namibia Defense Forces (NDF) EOD and Namibian National Police personnel during the practical application of demolition initiation procedures. Navy EOD technicians and the NDF are engaging in a joint training seminar to enhance their understanding of safely handling and disposing of unexploded ordnance. EODMU-11 is partnering with the Namibian Defense Forces EOD and Police Explosive Control Unit to support the Humanitarian Mine Action program by providing familiarization with International Mine Action Standards.
