Retired Adm. James G. Stavridis, dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, speaks with students, staff, faculty and guests during an evening lecture at U.S. Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, Rhode Island. The Evening Lecture Series brings nationally and globally recognized experts in such fields as national security, world affairs, contemporary social issues, scientific research and private industry to speak at the college in support of its educational mission. Stavridis is a distinguished graduate of U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., NWC and National War College of the United States in Washington, D.C. He also received the NWC's Distinguished Graduate Leadership Award in 2007.
