Spattering at Kilauea

On Jan 24th, there was volcanic activity on the lava pond in Puʻu ʻŌʻō. This photo shows the lava pond at the northeast cone, which had several spatter sources active on the pond margin, throwing spatter to a height of a few meters (yards).
