The Challenge of Marine Debris

Dr. Sylvia Earle and Susan Middleton sit atop a pile of marine debris on Eastern Island in Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge discussing the challenges. Debris is collected in a pile to reduce impacts. The Laysan albatross nesting in this debris will need to be slowly moved off the monofilament netting to reduce the danger to it's chick.
