Multi-use facility being constructed at Canaan Valley NWR in WV
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working hard to design and build a new multi-purpose facility along with outdoor recreation and trail improvements at Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge with the $7 million appropriated by Congress. We have made early decisions to ensure that the project moves ahead quickly and efficiently and construction supports the local economy and meets state-of-the-art requirements for accessibility and energy efficiency. The building will ultimately house staff from the refuge, as well as the Service's West Virginia Ecological Services Field Office and Office of Law Enforcement who will relocate from Elkins, W.V.
