Northeastern beach tiger beetle

The federally listed threatened northeastern beach tiger beetle depends on the remaining sandy beaches of the Chesapeake Bay. While it historically lived on sandy beaches from Massachusetts to Virginia, the majority of its remaining home is within the bay.
