Whooping cranes in flight

Whooping cranes (Grus americana) fly in a 'V' formation. Whooping canes are endangered, with only one self-sustaining wild population, the Aransas-Wood Buffalo National Park (AWBNP) population. This population nests in Wood Buffalo National Park and adjacent areas in Canada, and winters in coastal marshes in Texas at the AWBNP.
