Aleutian Islands World War II National Monument - Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Portions of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge were designated as the Aleutian Islands World War II National Monument. The Monument on Attu, Kiska and Atka Islands honors the sacrifices of soldiers and civilians by protecting World War II landscapes and artifacts on these distant Aleutian Islands.

The Aleutian Islands World War II National Monument was formerly part of the 2008 designation of the Valor in the Pacific National Monument along with sites in Hawaii and California, but became a standalone monument in 2019.
