This photo was taken looking westward along the Promenade; in the distance the retaining wall near the playground is visible. Superimposed onto the Prom is a detailed graphic representation of Saturn, the orbits of its largest moons, and its average orbital distance from the Sun. On the main panel, the three small black boxes are QR codes, which when scanned with a smartphone open pages with more info about Saturn and its moons, or general info about the solar system model, or specific info about this Central Park model. The main Saturn panel is bracketed by thinner panels representing the orbit of its outermost large moon, Iapetus. In the distance is a smaller panel indicating Saturn's aphelion (the point in its orbit most distant from the Sun).
