Fun, Friends, and Fireworks in Tel Aviv’s 4th of July
In an atmosphere of music, food and fireworks, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro and his wife Julie Fisher welcomed over 2500 guests to their residence to celebrate America’s Independence Day. Guests were welcomed in to the tunes played by the Polyphony Quartet from Nazareth. In a beautiful show of Americana, guests enjoyed American food from McDonald’s, Dominos’, Subway, Ben and Jerry’s, and more as they to swayed American jazz tunes by the Israeli Conservatory of Music’s Jazz Ensemble and the captivating voice of Bridgitte Raven singing classic America tunes. Israeli President Shimon Peres and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu were the celebration’s guests of honor. In their speeches, the guests of honor spoke of America’s contribution to freedom and democracy throughout the world. More than 2000 online viewers joined the crowd in watching the night’s grande finale; an awesome fireworks display.
