The U.S. Embassy, Keren Kayemet Leisrael (KKL-JNF and JNF-USA), the city of Jerusalem and families of victims, gathered at the “9/11 Living Memorial” site at Emek Arazim on the western side of the outskirts of Jerusalem, to commemorate 10 years to the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.
“No one can understand our pain as Israel can” said U.S. Ambassador Shapiro to more than 100 people, which included politicians, families of some of the five Israeli victims, American volunteers and representatives from Israel’s fire and police departments.
