Chargé d'affaires Leslie Tsou hosted the U.S. Embassy’s annual “Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner,".
On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Chargé d'affaires Leslie Tsou hosted the U.S. Embassy’s annual “Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner," bringing together members of different faith communities to celebrate the most American of American holidays. The gathering of 80 religious, social, political, and cultural community representatives celebrated diversity and mutual respect, and the guests enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Chargé d'affaires Tsou highlighted the U.S. Embassy’s commitment to the goal of peace and reconciliation and Embassy efforts to foster dialogue, promote intercultural communication, and encourage open channels of communication between Jews and Arabs, Israelis and Palestinians, and throughout the region. Chargé Tsou stressed the important role of the Embassy’s partners and friends who attended the celebration, congratulating them for the enormous impact of their work. She also welcomed faith leaders from various faiths to bless the meal, in a demonstration of interfaith harmony that was much admired by many of the guests.
