2015/12/03 - Proliferation and Strategic Trade Control Awareness Seminar
Ambassador Heidt says “Cambodia’s growing economy will benefit from world class strategic trade controls,” at the opening of a seminar for government and industry leaders sponsored by the U.S. Embassy. We brought in experts from Malaysia, Singapore, and China to share how their countries have boosted investor confidence and protected their borders by streamlining regulations on dual-use goods that could become weapons or WMD components. The event is organized by the Department of State Export Control and Related Border Security program (EXBS), which helps more than 60 countries around the world to meet their commitments under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 to regulate strategic trade.
