Ambassador Pyatt Welcomes Richard Bennett to Speak on Piracy at the U.S. Ambassador’s Forum
Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt welcomed Richard Bennett, expert in Internet policy and technical issues, to speak on “Piracy and the Three Bears: Balancing Interests” at the U.S. Ambassador’s Forum on Thursday, September 12 at the Teacher’s House in Kyiv.
Richard Bennett is a consultant, speaker and author who specializes in Internet policy and technical issues. He works with the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation in Washington, the Infocomm Development Authority in Singapore, the High Tech Forum web site, and as an expert witness in patent litigation cases. He has a 30 year background in network engineering and standards where he played an instrumental role in the development of Ethernet switching and Wi-Fi. He's worked for leading applied research labs, where portions of his work were underwritten by DARPA, and is the inventor of four issued patents on wireless networking and Internet protocols.
