Adult flash feeding

Emerald Ash Borer Awareness Week is May 19-25, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS). The emerald ash borer (EAB) (Agrilus planipennis) is killing ash trees in America’s forests and backyards. This is the time of year when you might see adult beetles flitting about among your ash trees and you may unknowingly move this pest if you pack firewood when you kick off the summer camping season.
