Firefighters burn area out along the handline from the canyon rim on May 29, 2014 to protect the historic Kanabownits Cabin and tie into the W-4 road to confine the fire in that area. The Galahad Fire on the North Rim on the Walla Valley Peninsula in the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona began on May 23, 2014 from lightening and has consumed 2, 950 acres to date and is 30% contained.
