A water search team at work locating cadavors. On March 22, 2014 a mudslide released from the hillside causing consequential flooding upstream as it crossed the Stillaguamish River devastating over 768 acres four miles east of the community of Oso, WA. The area included many residences and closed SR 530 between the city of Arlington, WA and the town of Darrington, WA. The death toll is 39 with 4 more persons missing. USFS photo.
