US Army, Portstewart Strand, 1942
US Army 37mm anti-tank gun and crew, taken on Portstewart Strand, 1942. A considerable amount of barbed wire seems to have been used on this particular part of the beach, which was possibly part of anti-invasion measures. Portstewart Strand also had two hexagonally shaped pillboxes constructed to protect the Bann estuary.
