Mobile Market Linkages
Horticulture producers in Mozambique’s Beira Corridor often sell their produce at extremely low prices because of a lack of market knowledge and access.
Citrus vendors learned to use simple mobile technology to improve market linkages through voluntary technical assistance from the USAID Farmer-to-Farmer Program.
The program promotes sustainable economic growth, food security and agricultural development worldwide.
These vendors increased their profit margins and generated higher household incomes while offering fair prices and nutritious products to consumers.
