Helping Hands

Aziza Ismail Waziri (in purple) tends to her home garden with the help of her children in the village of Kauzeni, located just outside of Morogoro, Tanzania. Home gardens like this one are a key component in USAID-TAPP’s health and nutrition activities. The gardens give rural and vulnerable households a chance to tackle malnutrition by introducing families to highly nutritious vegetables such as kale and orange-flesh sweet potato.
