On 20 July 2016, Amy Wilson (Population, Refugee, and Migration Officer at the U.S. Mission to the EU) met with 35 EU trainees to discuss U.S. policies on migration and cooperation with the EU on the current refugee crisis. The trainees in attendance included those from the European Parliament, European Commission, European External Action Service, European Defense Agency, Council of Europe, Council of the European Union, European Policy Centre, and Migration Policy Centre. The breakfast briefing was the final one in the 2016 summer series for EU trainees to network with their U.S. counterparts and engage in stimulating dialogue on trending issues.
