On June 6, 2016, the U.S. Mission to the EU and the European Policy Centre hosted a policy dialogue discussing TTIP and the digital economy. Lead TTIP negotiator Robb Tanner, Director for Telecommunications and Electronic Commerce from the U.S. Trade Representative Office, says the U.S. and EU have many shared goals. "We are very encouraged by the EU's digital economy initiatives."

Other panelists included Jan-Willem Verheijden, Policy Officer and Services Trade negotiator for the European Commission; Pastora Valero, Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs for Cisco Systems; and Maryant Fernandez Perez, Advocacy Manager for European Digital Rights (EDRi).
