Exhibit of works by Kolomon Sokol at the United Nations
The U.S. Mission and the Slovak Mission to the United Nations co-sponsored an exhibit of the works of Koloman Sokol, a Slovak-American artist, widely considered to be the father of the expressionist movement in Slovakia. The exhibit at the United Nations in Geneva, on display
through April 27, showcases a broad range of Sokol's works from his time in Slovakia through his exploration of Mexico and the United States, his return to Slovakia, and then his exile in the United States.
