HRC Adopts Resolution on Human Rights Situation on Iran
On Thursday, March 24, the U.N. Council on Human Rights adopted a resolution on the situation of Human Rights in Iran which will set up a mandate for a UN special rapporteur to investigate the situation in Iran. In an address to the Council, Ambassador Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe urged member states to support the resolution. She spoke afterward outside the Council chamber with the international press.
