Field mission of the Regional Director UN Women WCARO Mrs. Oulimata Sarr to Niger to express the solidarity and support of UN Women to the new authorities in relation to the multiple crises that the country is going through in the current context of the Sahel but also to congratulate them for the progress in the field of political participation and all other strategies of resilience.
This mission also aimed at engaging in dialogue with women leaders and with customary and religious authorities on gender issues in the country, as well as advocating with partners for more support for women in a situation of great vulnerability.
