The 66th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66), the UN’s largest annual gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment, from 14 to 25 March 2022, focuses on the important role of women and girls and achieving gender equality in the context of climate change. This year’s priority theme is “Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes”. The review theme is “Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work".
