In 2010, UN Women and Rwandan district authorities hosted training seminars for farm cooperative leaders. The training involved an introduction to gender awareness and allowed the leaders to conduct an analysis of the gender gaps in the agriculture sector and their cooperatives in particular. The goal of the training was for cooperatives to be able to identify and address gender gaps in their structure and operation.
