Cocamu Coffee Cooperative

After the 2010 training many cooperatives took steps to address gender gaps, including: increasing the number of women members; giving the paid work in the coop to the most vulnerable members who are primarily women heads of households; requiring husbands and wives to access fertilizers and seeds through joint signatures on vouchers; paying dividends only through joint bank accounts signed by both husband and wife; and making sure there is a balance of men and women in the coop's decision making structures.
