Kindergarten Teacher

Kunduz Egembaeva, one of two teachers on staff at the Meerim Kelechek Kindergarten in the village of Ton, Kyrgyzstan, leads children in singing activities in the main activity room of the facility. Thanks in part to a grant through UN Women Program and the Kumtor Operating Company, the school is re-opened since it closed in 1994, providing critically-needed educational opportunities for local children before they start the main state primary schools.
