Place of Refuge I

A national park that preserves the site of a traditional Hawaiian sanctuary or puuhonua. In pre-contact Hawaii, if you broke a "kapu" (taboo) or were defeated in battle and could make it here without being killed, you could remain safely until your crimes were forgiven. It's a rather awe-inspiring place.
