Andrena vaga - grijze zandbij

These are all mining bees ; the named images are found in Andrena set.

All animals were photographed in the regio of Aalter , Flandres , Belgium

A major part of these animals fly out very soon , starting from march and depend alot on having a male willow / salix tree in the vincinity (best far less then a few hundred meters away). The pollen of these willow are used as food for the larvae . Whereas nectar of the flowers are mainly used as own consumption. The distinctive makrs between the various species is not always that easy !
