In July 2017, Ethiopia hosted the 29th AU Summit. The UN Deputy Secretary General, Ms Amina J Mohammed attended the summit during which she conducted a number of bilateral meetings with heads of states in Africa. She was joined by UNOAU Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) Mr Haile Menkerios, UN in Ethiopia Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator & UNDP Resident Representative (UN RC/HC & UNDP RR) Ms Ahunna Eziakonwa-Onochie and Mr Khassim Diagne, Director at the Executive Office of the Secretary General (EOSG).
