Professor Maurice Howard

    As part of a key collaborative research partnership for Sussex, Maurice Howard,
    Professor of Art History, has undertaken work on major projects at the Victoria
    and Albert Museum. These include the British Galleries and writing on heraldry for
    an upcoming exhibition on the 16th-century Muscovy Trade, to be shown in both
    Moscow and London. He is also on the team of a Leverhulme-funded project at the
    National Portrait Gallery, examining the technical processes of Tudor and Stuart
    portraiture.
